We are located in the hilly area around Pisa, in a strategic position that is easy to reach:
a 20 minute drive from Pisa and from the seafront, 30 minutes from Lucca and Livorno, a little over from Firenze.

It is the perfect place for a relaxing break in the iconic countryside of Tuscany or for a romantic, cultural and/or culinary weekend.

You can have walks or bicycle trips to discover the small surrounding villages and more:
here you can find organic horticulture and plenty of small cheese and oil producers,
the top quality Amadei’s chocolate and the famous San Miniato truffle,
the Cinta Senese cured meat and the Colline Pisane wine.

With a short journey you can reach the coast, from the famous seaside resorts of Versilia (Viareggio, Camaiore, Forte dei marmi)
to Livorno with its Little Venice neighbourhood or Castagneto Carducci and the Etruscan Populonia.

The natural and historical spas (terme) of Casciana, San Giuliano or Saturnia and Venturina.

And, obviously, the art heritage cities.
Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, San Gimignano are very near – Florence and Siena are only a little farther.

In the Summertime our area offers countless folk, artistic and gastronomic events – to mention just a few:
Il Gioco del Ponte and the San Ranieri Luminara (the famous candle light festival) in Pisa;
La Giostra dell’Orso (The Joust of the Bear) and the Blues Festival in Pistoia;
the Lucca Summer Festival and the Francigena International Art Festival in Lucca;
the Festival Puccini at Torre del Lago and La Giostra del Saracino (the Saracen Joust) in Arezzo;
Il Teatro del Silenzio, the Andrea Bocelli’s creation.

And exhibitions, fairs, countryside festivals and gigs all over Tuscany.
